If you are following Jesus, then service is not an optional thing for our lives. Just as Jesus served others, he calls us to serve others as well. This for Jesus, is the way in which the world will be transformed – amazing and sacrificial love demonstrated in service!
With the variety of projects, REEF is great for everyone – newcomers, small groups, families … you name it!
What kind of outreach will we do?
Outreaches vary from month to month. We have done grocery give-aways, detergent give-aways, handed out water and soft-drinks, and provided full-service at a gas station. We usually provide an act of service and leave a card that explains we are doing this simply to demonstrate that God loves them in a practical way. There are absolutely no strings attached! We will not accept donations, we do not preach to those we serve, we don’t hand out tracks or religious literature, nor do we even invite them to church. We don’t ask anyone to do anything! It is truly a demonstration of God’s love with absolutely no expectations places on those we serve.
Typically, we have a variety of Kindness Outreaches, Service Projects, and Mercy-Related Touches, many of which are very family-friendly, so please bring the kids!
